Your team and your responsibilities Team/division description The Material Engineering division (MED) is part of the R&D group at Toyota Motor Europe Technical Center in Zaventem, Belgium. By utilization of wide and deep material knowledge as well as evaluation & analysis capability, its mission is to conduct research, to develop and to introduce attractive & environment-friendly materials. The Material Engineering 2 department in MED is responsible for advanced material research for new clean mobility, hydrogen economy, quantum sensors and materials, and carbon neutrality. Your project We are looking for an intern to support a research project aimed at improving the accuracy of predicting key transport properties of liquid battery electrolytes. The project integrates open quantum-chemical datasets, machine-learning force-field refinement, and molecular dynamic simulations. You will be responsible for: • Integrating and analysing open DFT datasets relevant to organic electrolytes and Li-ion chemistry to enrich the ML force-field training process Your profile • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language) Starting date: Between April to June 2026 Duration: 12 weeks Confidentiality It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
